BBQ Bar

BBQ (Before)

BBQ (After)
This is my magnificent mirror bar. I'm sure we all agree, having an outdoor kitchen is really fantastic, if you have an indoor one that is. The problem here was I had to wait two full years before I had an indoor kitchen! It has a rustic flair because we used recycled telephone poles and wall-to-wall stone. I'll be showing you step-by-step from start to finish photos on how I did the bar. The best part is, all the mirrors were curbside treasures so there was very little cost involved. People tend to throw out mirrors that break, and I tend to break mirrors that people throw out! Anyhow, I hope you like it!

The pieces are attached with mastic using a level. I don't suggest you do this for your first mosaic project, it is a little tricky. Notice I did the top first and waited to have it all done before I grouted.

I love the irregular swirl design. It was quite a large area and had to be drawn with chalk first.
After the mirror was placed I filled the swirls in between with cement. Hope you can see my finger indentations.

all done!
